I just got back from spending two weeks at our summer estate in the north of Sweden.  It's a fantastic place and a real contrast to life here in the city.  Stockholm, Sweden, is a relaxed place full of nature but the north of Sweden is extreme. It's kind of like Alaska.  Our estate is located near a small city but still in the middle of the forest right on  a stunning lake. No cars, traffic, or distractions.  Only nature and mind. 

This was the first time I felt like the kids truly enjoyed our stay.  Everything's been fine before but they are now at an age where independence and doing things alone is more fun.  Fishing, chopping wood, driving the boat, swimming, driving a tractor, and seeing wild animals is pretty cool regardless if you're two or five years old. In the future we can hopefully work something out so we can live up north during the fantastic Swedish summers and in Mexico during winters.
