Weekend Photo - The Mexican Heaven Huatulco

Huatulco, Mexico
Old Canon Powershot S50, ISO 50
It's ironic that I'm posting this picture from Huatulco, Mexico, today when we have the first snowstorm of the winter. We will be spending a month in Mexico in March-April and I'm clearly missing some warm weather and gorgeous beaches. Huatulco is our favorite place in Mexico and we've visited quite a few times. It's located in the state of Oaxaca which is a poor state in the south with gorgeous nature.
Me and my wife have explored more of Mexico than anyone I now. We have done beaches, mountains, desert, and rain forest. We have done everything from luxury vacations to adventure trips. We've rented a mansion on the coast and stayed in $5 scorpion infested rooms. Both have been fabulous memories. Mexico has a lot to offer regardless of what you're interested in but if you want peace and quiet or maybe adventure sports, then you need to visit Huatulco. You will be in a small modern town on the coast, far from he drunk 17-year old spring-breakers, which has anything you need for a great vacation.
Huatulco is not as well known as some other vacation destinations because it's not as accessible. You reach it by flight or through a somewhat dangerous drive over a mountain range. We have of course done both several times. Huatulco consists of several bays with pleasant water gorgeous views, and no high rise mega-hotels.
It's a perfect place for adventure sports if you're into that. Mountain biking, some rock climbing, ocean kayaking, wind surfing, diving, or trekking in the jungle. But it's also the ideal location to kick back with a few drinks, great food, a book (or laptop), and think about life. I you're into sun and hot weather I highly recommend you to visit this idyllic place

Gimme some motivating mtn bike picks.. I am training for an 8hr race in may and there is 3 feet of snow where I live!
Enjoy,
I haven’t seen such a beautiful place before. But I’ll have to become reconciled with the idea that I wouldn’t be able to go there soon and would do my ocean kayaking instead.
