Sweden, more than just meatballs

AdventureDad’s current location, Sweden, is famous for meatballs and they are indeed delicious.  But we also like other dishes.  Absolute Vodka is indeed Swedish but does not count as a meal.  Here is a link to a small write-up about some Swedish food.  Smaklig måltid!

  1. As a frewuent visitor to Ikea, I am quite familiar with Swedish food. I think your hot dogs and donuts are especially delicious. Just kidding. Actually, one of my favorite restaurants in NY is Aquavit. Chef is Marcus Samuelsson. Did you ever try it when you were here?

  2. Oh yeah…Happy Birthday! Just read about it on your wife’s site. Hope you’re having a good one.

  3. Ikea is not too bad but we can do better…. Aquavit is an excellent place and I have been there quite a few times. I also highly recommend Ulrikas which is near Bloomingdales on 60th . That place is less fance but food and drinks are excellent and very Swedish. It’s a LOT less expensive as well if you care about that. Hey, next time I’m in NYC we have to hook up. I usually go there about twice a year.

  4. Since when is Absolute not considered a meal?????? Oh yeah….. since I became married and had children. Silly me.

  5. Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll give Ulrikas a shot next time I’m over by Bloomies. And definitely be sure to give me a call if you come into town. We’ll go grab a few cocktails.
