Sony in even more trouble

Yesterday I wrote about Sony and their incredibly stupid strategy of putting dangerous spyware on customers computers.  Without the customers knowledge I might add.  Today the first virus have been found that actually uses the spyware installed by Sony to hide itself and remain undetectable by regular virus programs.  And of course customers are outraged.  Let that be a lesson to everyone.  Don’t treat your valued customers like fucking idiots because you will pay for it sooner or later.  And I believe Sony will pay dearly for their mistakes.  A class action lawsuit will be filed shortly in US courts.  The main damage is most likely not financial.  Instead it’s the bad press and the loss of confidence from Sonny’s worldwide customer base.  Don’t ever forget that it takes a long time to earn respect form customers but it can be lost in a heartbeat.  Sony just lost it.  I have previously purchased lots of Sony products but I will never again give this shit company another penny.

  1. Sony Pictures also got into trouble a few years ago for “fixing” their movies with reviewers. Makinf up fake reviews and usint them in advertisement.

  2. Wasn’t it someone at the US Dept. of Homeland security who said in regards to the Sony rootkit issue — “It’s your intellectual property, it’s not your computer
That about sums it up doesn’t it.
