Swedish women are well known for being independent and a little forward in the sex department. It looks like our daughter is already catching on. Although her ways are hilarious and cute, teenage years are already in the back of our minds.
Her exploration of body parts have so far been of others, like her brother as he comes out of the shower. "Wow, that cute little thing looks interesting, I must pull very hard and see what happens".
Her Bad Mother is going through a bodypart exploration phase with her WonderBaby as well. But it seems like WB is more creative and curious of her body. She looks in the most unexpected places, if you know what I mean. It's a hilarious read. Annika has so far shown no interest in her own body parts but her brother and me and apparently very interesting.
We were all surprised as she walked into the bathroom one day and looked at her brother coming out of the shower. She pointed at his lower region, penis territory, and said
"Titta!" (it means "look!" in Swedish).
How cute we thought. Until she lounged forward, grabbed her brother's penis, and pulled. Very hard. Daniel let out a loud scream, probably more out of surprise than pain. How cute and how unexpected.
Her penis interest has continued and she likes to be present when Daniel comes out of the shower. But nowadays Daniel is ready and starts laughing as soon as he opens the shower door. He knows what's coming but has learned to protect himself.
A penis is apparently a really cool toy if you're a child. Our son exhibited the same behavior around age 18 months. Every time we showered and were drying off, he would point at my penis and say "Wow!" What a great confidence booster:-)
Annika has also shown some interest in my boobs. She touches the nipple as I carry her around with my shirt off. I see fascination, curiosity, and surprise.
No milk? How come the boobies are so small? What a useless tiny nipple!? I can't even grab the boobs?! The thousands of hours I've spent in the gym over the years have given me some decent pecs but they don't rank high with my daughter.
Maybe she will change her mind as she soon stops breastfeeding? Yeah right.
Oh man that’s funny, and the link to Bad Mother is even funnier. I can’t wait to get the wife to check it out — and tremble for what our daughter may yet do.
Dominic is no longer nursing, but he has a total fascination with twisting Henric’s nipples. I find it hilarious. Henric, not so much. She hasn’t tried to yank on Dominic in the tub yet. Probably because HE is so busy with it that she can’t get her hands in there.
Ha! Ha! My two year old daughter has found her dad’s “buttons” (nipples), and my four year old son has decided that it is an insult to yell at his sister, “You don’t have a penis!”
Wonderbaby found a friend’s, um, member in a shared bath last month. It warranted a pull.
