Living in a wired world
We use internet more than any person I know. MUCH MORE. It’s an indispensable tool for us. We also love gadgets, and we use them a lot. Both of us love technology, alright it’s mostly for me, but Sandra is also a heavy use of tech products. We got a tech corner in our cabin where we keep our hear. It’s full of lovely geek products.
We got a small laptop, Dell 700M, which is awesome. It’s got the extended 5 hour battery for those LONG WI-FI sessions. We got two 40 GB Pod’s. One Itrip. Two cameras. One tiny 7 Mega-pixel, Canon SD 500, which is simply amazing and also another 8 Mega-pixel SLR, the Canon 20D. The 20D produces stunning images but you need good professional lenses. These are expensive and HEAVY but we got quite a few of those with us in a separate backpack. Of course we got enough memory cards to cover a normal persons yearly amount of photos. A Bogen tripod is a must for good photos. Two Petzl headlamps which are a blessing. Add to that a couple of Motorola walkie talkies for biking and hiking and about 5 different cables for connecting everything to the computer. In addition to that we got one charger for every item above. I count five chargers in the tech section. Scary stuff. Missing from the line up are the baby monitors and the pulse monitor.
The tech section should also include our awesome super-light top of the line mountain bikes but they stay in a storage area connected to the house. This area has one HUGE lock so we are not worried. You didn’t think we left them outside??! Ahhh I love being a sporty adventure-geek!
