I’ve been tagged
I’ve been tagged by Cityslickermom and Hygiene Chronicles to reveal 6 strange/weird/odd habits or facts about myself. I started by calling my wife and asked her to mention six weird things about me. She’s after all the person that knows me best. She laughed hysterically for a few minutes and then told me she could give me 16 weird things. Or more if I wanted to. I like being different but after making my list I’m seriously considering becoming more normal…..
1. I’m a master at multitasking. At home I can listen the TV and stereo, surf the net with ten windows open, edit photos, chat with the wife, plan the next few days, and pay the bills. All at once. At work I look at five different screens, use four keyboards, three mice, run 25 applications, listen to 50 voices and 10 brokers, talk on the phone, surf the net, eat lunch, blog, and talk to sales guys. All at once.
2. I don’t know the lyrics to one single song. Not one. I can’t even remember the lyrics to Itsy Bitsy Spider. I know a line here and there but not one complete song. They just don’t stick. I’ve got not problems with remembering 30 passwords or 15 digit phone numbers. Just don’t ask me to remember the lyrics to a song
3. I’ve spent time on vacation in 25 different countries and speak four languages, Swedish, English, German, and Spanish. Most visited country? Mexico. Around 40 times so far. I blame this on my wife. She’s the one that got me interested in traveling.
4. I used to shave. No, not just my face. My whole body. I always been ultra fit but when I was young I was very skinny. 15 years ago I decided to do something about it and started lifting weights. Very seriously. I became a gym rat and spent countless hours working out and eating like a maniac. Many bodybuilders shave heir bodies so I decided to give it a try. I stepped in to the shower with a 15 pack of Bic Razors and after one exhausting hour I had no body hair. Weird at first it turned out to be extremely comfortable. I kept up the shaving for a couple of years and then got tired of it. The workouts have continued but now take up less time. My wife demands that I admit to another weird thing about shaving. Ever since I shaved my whole body I like to shave the little hairs on the back of my neck. You know the ones just below the hairline. After a few days I get annoyed and must shave them even though the length is virtually zero.
5. I have a ridiculously high tolerance to alcohol. I can drink like a fish and you will not be able to notice anything unusual at the end of the night. And I always (unfortunately?) remember everything that happened during the night and exactly what I said. It’s always been like that since I started drinking in college. I used to show up a party with a 12 pack of beer under my arm and another 12 pack as a backup. My field of work has a weird alcohol culture and people drink a lot when we’re out on business related events. My mind, strangely, continues to function well even after I drink a lot. I can drink a bottle of wine, 12 beers, cognac, and a few shots and then get on the bike and ride home, take out my contacts, neatly hang suit, make a snack, read the news, sleep six hours and be back at work 07.30 the next day with my gym bag.
6. I used to wear white socks with everything before I met my wife in college. Even with a suit. I know it’s sad but I was clueless and didn’t know better. After I met Sandra we spent the summers playing professional tennis in Europe and she once dragged me, against my will, to the Hugo Boss factory just outside Stuttgart, Germany. This visit around 1990, totally transformed me and I was still refusing to leave the store after 6 hours. It was heaven. Nothing was the same after that and I have since made many visits to the Hugo Boss store. I love their stuff. And I stopped wearing white socks.
I would love to hear from some other friends about their odd and stange habits.
Misfithausfrau, Sandriux, MiniCooper, and Miles etc. You got any weird/strange/odd habits?

You’re like half Metrosexual; you shaved your body and then added white socks. Hysterical.
Try setting your passwords with song lyrics. I’ll bet that would get you to remember them better.
ive no blog but definetly read yours . keep it up
I’m just trying to picture you in white socks in your birthday suit!
Well!!!…….you did say EVERYTHING
I don’t think the shaving your neck hairs thing is that weird. Lots of men do that, otherwise it rubs funny. (Especially after you do it once, you can’t go back.) My hubby Keen gets his shaved below the neck line every time he gets his hair cut (about every four weeks) and then in summer he waxes his whole back.
The white socks thing is funny to visualize!
BTW–I finished mine for you!
Shaving your whole body?! And you managed to keep it up for so long? I’m not sure we needed to know that, but I certainly am impressed!!! ;-)
