Is McDonald’s Sponsoring Your School?

I think it's an interesting development that McDonald's are allowed to sponsor report cards. The U.S. school system must be extremely desperate. I know that many make McDonald's responsible for the obesity crisis and for making our children fat and I agree that much of the food is anything but healthy. But we all have a choice. Last time I checked parents are responsible for a child until 18 years of age, at least here. It's very easy to avoid McDonald's if you want to, just don't go there.
I's terrible that McDonald's is involved in school report cards and they do serve lots of crappy food. But why is no one blaming parents for their obese 10 year olds? For feeding them nothing but Coca Cola, chips, donuts, and other crappy deep fried food at home? For shopping carts full of pizza, burgers, ice cream, candy, chips, and soda for their 150 lbs. obese 6 year old. It's never the parents fault. It's always school, friends, society, restaurants, or grandparents who make the kids fat. It's called accountability and it's something I miss in todays parenting.
that has always been my favorite, when a parent says “My 6 year old won’t eat anything except Happy Meals”. Wow, your child knows how to drive? How are they getting these Happy Meals if you are not taking them to McDonalds? Amazing….

I can’t believe they’re rewarding kids with FOOD. What the heck is wrong with people?!?!?!?
