Fight Club – For Toddlers(!)

Fight club for toddlers is apparently cool for some parents in U.K. To have two and three year olds beat the crap out of each other while the parents stand on the side screaming insults. It all took place in Devon, UK and it's making the front pages of BBC as we speak. It has naturally caused outrage and shock in the community. The mothers even video taped the event which was not a bright thing do do since the clip showed up in court.
In the clip, a boy wearing a nappy was called a "wimp" for not hitting a girl back after she struck him in the face.
I don't really know where on the scale of child abuse to place this kind of behavior. It's far below sexual abuse but is it worse than beating up your child? I don't know. If your kids are like mine, they try to copy parental behavior. Good and bad. Actually, it seems they especially like my bad habits. Teaching kids to fight others during their toddler years is probably not the best way to prepare for life as a teenager or adult.
A few other incidents of similar behavior has been discovered lately but I wouldn't be too worried about a growing trend. This is so stupid I can barely manage to get angry about it. I would assume it's parenting by people who are extremely uneducated, lack common sense, and clearly not fit to be parents. What kind of standards were these mothers taught by their own parents is a question I must ask myself. The standards can't have been high after hearing what happened in the video clip. Would you call your son a faggot for not hitting back at a girl?
The boy, aged two, is seen crying after being punched in the face by the three-year-old girl and is told by one of the four women in the room "not to be a wimp or a faggot" and to hit her back.
The four women, all from the same family, are heard laughing as the toddlers are urged to keep on fighting.
The court heard that when interviewed by police, one of the women said: "I didn't see any harm in toughening them up. I done the same with my own children."
I feel like the best father in the world. Sentencing for these idiots will be announced in a month. I'm hoping for ten years of hard labor in Eastern Siberia.

ohmigod… these people are clearly not sane. you’re right.. its hard ot get angry because you cant imagine where to begin from! In India we send kids for self defence classes like karate etc from the age of 4 onwards, but its all disciplined and the children are taught that it is only for defence. i cannot imagine making little nappy clad toddlers hit each other.. God.. what kind of world are we bringing our children into?!
These so called “parents” are complete idiots!! I feel so sorry for the kiddies that were subject to such abuse! These adults definitely have mental issues. If this continues, they are going to raise the next generation of abusers!
what a pair of freaks….i think a good prison sentence for cruelty to children is the correct way to punish these people. Let them have a taste of their own medicine, prison has a habit of giving that!
