Congratulations Karitha and Stefan!

We’ve got some great news. Our friends Karitha and Stefan became proud parents last week. Their daughter Madison was born at 02:51 on November 18 and the whole family is doing well. I have known Stefan for many years, we worked together in NYC and that’s where he got to know Karitha. Karitha worked in Stockholm but spent every other month or so working at the office in NYC. They got to know each other and quickly became a couple. Although that was a well kept secret for a long time:-) They are now both living in NYC and doing very well. They are really some of the nicest people you will ever meet. I’m confident Madison will grow up looking like a supermodel since Stefan looks like a young Pierce Brosnan and Karitha like Christie Brinkley.

We haven’t seen them since our last trip to NYC during this summer but perhaps we get to meet Madison soon. We are heading to NYC and Mexico for vacation in January-February and hopefully the Ericson family will then be in town. In the summer of 2004 we attended the wedding of Karitha and Stefan in the Swedish town Båstad. It was one of those glorious summer days that make Sweden so special and the wedding was beautiful. A fairly short ceremony with just the right amount of personal touch. The reception was held at the oceanview resort of Hovs Hallar and included a very diverse guestlist. Karitha and Stefan are kind of like me and Sandra, they’ve got friends all over the world. And of course many of them showed up for the wedding.

We wish Stefan, Karitha, and Madison all the luck in the world and hope that Madison grows up to be a healthy and happy child! More photos of the wedding and Madison below.
