Basic Education – The Earth Is Flat
Regardless of religious beliefs I think it's a good idea to give children a basic education of what the world looks like. There are many things we don't know but can we please agree on the earth not being flat? Apparently not. Not even mainstream television anchors, like "The View" host Sherri Shepherd, want to admit the world is not flat. She simply doesn't know and has never in her life thought about it
"Is the world flat?"
"I don't know, I've never thought about it"?
And here I was thinking the earth-is-flat theory had been proven wrong about 5 million times. Clearly, I have lost my mind.
I rather stick my male reproductive organ in a blender, repeatedly, than watch an episode of "The View" but the clip below from a recent show is educational. And some people wonder why many young people, especially in U.S., don't seem to have a good basic education to rely on?

Hee hee :)
My wife told me the other day- she is a HS English teacher- that one of her students told her that Native Americans were white and were brought to the US as slave. It’s a shame!
LOL Oh man! Feel strongly about it, do ya? LOL I saw that epidode of The View this past week! I almost feel off my sofa when she started talking about that. Thank god my dd is only two and I do not have to yet explain to her about people like this.
I do have to admit that The View is the one show I watch in the mornings. I love to watch their Hot Topics and start fuming over how stupid several of the hosts are. It is the time when dd and I have our coffee and knäck and get the perspective of “the world” as seen through the eyes of women who are supposedly representative of women in the US. I am usually pretty disgusted at some point in the program. But hey, it is my cheap entertainment for the day. Please don’t think less of me. LOL
Oops. That was supposed to have been “fell” off of my sofa.
My credibility continues to plummet…
You mean the world ISN’T flat???
Well rats! The video wasn’t loading when I arrived! Your post caught me up, wish I could view the video. In regard to the rest, it’s shocking the state of affairs nowadays. Ever watch those “man (woman) on the street” interviews? LOL, wow….
How could she never have thought about it? Didn’t every kid going through US schools have to at least once write a report about Christopher Columbus? If they did they’d have thought about whether or not the world was flat. What a dumbass.
Dude where are you at?
