Banning Kids From Disney Restaurants

Disney just announced they're banning kids under 10 from one of their nicer restaurants at Walt Disney World in Florida.

"We want to be the restaurant that's available for that adult experience," said general manager Israel Perez.

Since this is making the news I assume some people think it's terrible to ban kids from a restaurant at Disney World.  I couldn't disagree more.   This is obviously a very nice restaurant, prices start at $125 per person and few families with children visited this restaurant in the past.  Keep in mind that there are another 97 restaurants at Disney World where you can still bring all the kids you want.

I don't know about you but when I go out to a nice place and enjoy a luxurious dinner with expensive wine, I don't want kids around.  I like to enjoy the fine atmosphere and for once concentrate on something else than children.  Some seem troubled by the few places or friends that place reasonable rules about children being allowed.  I bring my kids everywhere but definitely agree there are times when children are better left at home, with friends, or taken to another suitable place.

  1. It is nice sometimes to have at least one place to get away from the kids. Although Disney World is a strange place for that.
