AdventureDad Gave Birth To A Little Girl

AdventureDad Gave Birth To A Little Girl

You might see that headline in the future.  Thomas Beatie is a man, a quite unusual man.  He's five months pregnant.  His situation is different than most since he's a trans-gender but I still think it's an interesting development.  A pregnant  man.  Science goes forward quickly and who knows what will happen in the future.  Let's assume men can also get pregnant in 20 years, would that be a great idea?

I know what women are saying, if men had to give birth to babies there would be no babies.  I kind of agree.  Men are capable of adapting to many things but could we really get used to the idea of carrying a child?  For many (most?), this is a stupid thought but unexpected things happen all the time.

Would men be good mothers?  Women always say we're sooooooo wimpy.  We supposedly cry like babies for a sore throat and generally complain about everything associated with pain.  Can we change?

At the moment I think men are quite happy to just sit on the sidelines and support as much as possible.  But who knows what will happen?  Could we see "male mothers" in the future?

More details in an article in UK's Daily Mail today……

Edit:I realize this sounds very stupid but it sounded like a brilliant and interesting post after some whiskey and a bottle wine…….

  1. Goodness I hope not! Of course I am on the side of those who think we were created and didn’t simply just happen. Men giving birth sounds as illogical to the created design as trying to use my computer monitor to wash my car. It just wasn’t supposed to work like that.

Plus, interesting thing, I recently read that there is a bone difference in the spine that has been discovered as the reason why women can carry a baby and not fall over. Makes me wonder, if men (real men) were pregnant would they be able to stand up during the final stages of pregnancy. Interesting thought…
